PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Waterbird Refuge Pond at the Sydney Olympic Park has a large and varied population of bird species, however, nesting along the water’s edge exposes birdlife to predators. The Sydney Olympic Park Authority engaged WET Systems to install an additional unvegetated floating island at the Waterbird Refuge Pond to provide a place of refuge for the birdlife to roost and nest, free from predators and disturbance.
