PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
In 2022, WET Systems designed and installed 5 floating wetlands across three sites along the Yarra River (Birrarung) in the CBD of Melbourne (Australia). The project aims to reintroduce riparian vegetation along sections of the river. Planting more than 60 native wetland and riparian species, the floating wetlands provide a low-impact way of re-naturing this urbanised river and provide a refuge for wildlife to live and breed, safe from predators.

Design, construct, plant, commission, on-going maintenance and monitor.
